Rabiah Rahman
Rabiah is a proud Californian, raised in the Central Valley and currently resides in Ventura County. Rabiah has dedicated her legal career to defending workers’ rights throughout the State of California. She is a leader, advocate and a voice for social justice.
Rabiah is committed to using her voice, education and skills to champion social justice and progressive values on the various boards she sits on locally and throughout California.
Commitment
to Social Justice
Rabiah has devoted her legal career to championing the rights of employees, with a foundation built upon a long-standing commitment to social justice. She worked with incarcerated youth as an undergraduate student at UCLA, throughout law school and as an attorney. She served as the Managing Editor of the Berkeley Journal of African American Law and Policy.
Rabiah has also represented refugees from Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Somalia claiming asylum in Egypt and applying for resettlement to a third-country. She also worked for a human rights consulting non-governmental organization in The Netherlands, helping Baltic Nations implement international criminal law standards into their domestic prosecution of war crimes.
